This past year, AHWV served a record 56 women veterans, along with 16 of their children, 5 partners, 1 male Veteran, and 4 dependents. Since our inception in 2014, we have assisted a total of 564 women veterans and 974 individuals.
The increase in the number of veterans we served this year can be attributed to the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene on our communities. The storm resulted in the loss of homes, vehicles, and jobs, severely impacting our veteran families. Fortunately, Aura Home Women Vets was ready to provide essential support during this difficult time.
Thanks to you, our dedicated supporters, we were able to rise to the challenge. Our fundraising efforts also reached new heights, with donations in the fourth quarter of 2024 (October to December) increasing by 111% compared to the same period in 2023. Overall, our fundraising for Fiscal Year 2024 surged by 78% compared to the previous year.
Sadly, Hurricane Helene caused significant damage to the Felicia Reeves Home facility in Hendersonville, which we had been in the process of rehabilitating. After a thorough evaluation by the consultants we hired, it has been recommended that we demolish the building to facilitate the sale of the property. As a result, all work on the property has come to a halt. However, we continue to incur ongoing costs to ensure the safety and security of the site.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, our commitment to supporting women veterans and their families remains unwavering. We are focused on expanding our programs and services to meet the growing needs of our community. Your continued support is vital in helping us achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Aura Home Women Vets family. Together, we can continue to provide hope and assistance to those who have served our country.
If you would like to help, please consider making a donation today, or volunteering to assist. /Donating-to-Aura-Home

We wish to thank the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association for once again making Christmas a joyful time for our women Veterans and their families. In December, they not only donated stacks of gits for the Veterans and their families, household supplies, and personal care items. They also volunteered to package and deliver the items.
